FINAL RESULTS & POINTS
1st - Kula
2nd - Weira
3rd - Bukari
4th - Talwong
On Tuesday the 11th of May, Westport Campus ran their Annual Athletics Carnival. After an overly wet week, the students were faced with running on a very damp track. This did not deter the students who turned up in a variety of outfits to compete in the various track, field and novelty events. It was an action packed day with high participation rates across all events. The novelty events (Egg and Spoon, Jumping Sack, Chicken Throw, Speedball and 3 Legged Race) were as popular as always throughout the day. There were 5 records broken on the day (see below).
Thank you to Mrs Underwood and Mr Barnett and students who ran the BBQ which was very popular.
The annual House vs House Tug of War was again an exciting event. Talwong and Kula faced off first with Kula winning. Weira and Bukari faced off next with Bukari winning. In the Final, Kula were too strong for Bukari and took the win convincingly.
Students who finishes 1st and 2nd have the opportunity to compete at the Lower North Coast Athletics Carnival on the 8th of June.
