Our Opens boys and girls basketball teams represented Hastings Secondary College exceptionally well at the CHS Opens Gala Day!
The boys kicked off the day with a strong performance against Macksville High School, leading the entire game and securing a convincing win. After a long wait due to a bye, they moved straight into the finals, facing Camden Haven High. In a tight match, the boys came away victorious with a 39-29 win.
Our girls' team was the standout of the day! They dominated their first game against Macksville High, winning by over 30 points. In their second game, they maintained their impressive performance, claiming another 30-point win against Camden Haven High School. In the finals, they faced Wauchope High School, and despite a tough challenge, their relentless offense secured a 48-25 win.
After the Gala Day, several students were selected to represent the Lower North Coast in Woolgoolga, where they competed against teams from the Mid North Coast, Northern Rivers, and Far North Coast.
