Excellence Innovation Opportunity Success

Hastings Valley public schools

The public schools in Hastings Valley comprise of nine public schools in the Port Macquarie-Hastings local government area that collaborate to ensure over 4500 students receive high-quality academic and wellbeing outcomes.

The HVPS Principal Leadership team is dedicated to improving educational delivery by sharing resources and expertise, simplifying transition pathways, creating programs, building community partnerships and offering professional development opportunities. Our areas of focus include curriculum, engagement and learning, Aboriginal engagement and education, wellbeing, and community engagement. Our shared values are growth, care, quality learning, innovation, excellence and opportunities.

Collaboration between primary and secondary schools is an essential aspect of the HVPS's approach to education. We work to streamline transition pathways for students and their families as they move from primary to secondary education.

By sharing resources and expertise, we enhance the educational delivery across all levels. Our focus on curriculum, engagement and learning, Aboriginal engagement and education, wellbeing, and community engagement is designed to provide a seamless educational experience for students as they progress through their schooling.

We also provide staff with opportunities for professional development and sharing to ensure that they are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to support students' academic and wellbeing outcomes.
