Our Hastings Heroes put up a strong fight over the weekend at the FRC Southern Cross Regional Qualifier in Sydney, earning the position of 8th alliance captain!
Throughout the competition, they gained new skills, refined their engineering and coding abilities, collaborated with other teams, made new friends, and, most importantly, exemplified gracious professionalism.
Competing against 44 of the top school, university, and community teams from across the Asia-Pacific, the team advanced to the event finals, showcasing strategic gameplay and impressive autonomous runs. We are incredibly proud of our students for securing 8th place in such a highly competitive field.
We would like to extend a huge 'thank you' to Hastings Community Grants for their support in helping make this opportunity possible for our students.
This is just the beginning of the robotics season, and we look forward to watching our students continue to refine their design, enhance their autonomous routines, and fine-tune their drive strategy as they prepare for the next competition!
