Westport Campus Covid-19 Update

Under changes implemented Wednesday 15 December, school-based close contacts must now only self-isolate for 7 days regardless of vaccination status. They must also have a PCR test (nose and throat swab) at a COVID-19 testing clinic on Day 6, and if this is negative and they feel well they are able to leave self-isolation after 7 days.

Close contacts that have isolated for 7 days or more since their last exposure (listed on your previous letter) can leave self-isolation provided they have had PCR test (nose and throat swab) at a COVID-19 testing clinic on or after Day 6, the test was negative and they feel well.

There is ongoing risk following this 7-day self-isolation period, and a nose and throat (PCR) test is recommended again on Day 12. High risk settings (health care, aged care, correctional facilities) should be avoided where possible, and extra precautions taken around vulnerable people including family members, for a further week.

cheers
