Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope this message finds you well. I’d like to let you know our plans for students returning to the College next week.
To keep our students, staff and community safe we will be following the health advice from NSW Health and the Department of Education. We are currently on Level 2 restrictions. This means that Hastings Secondary College will be operational next week, with face to face learning. Students are expected to return on Tuesday 13th July – Week A. There will be new timetables for most year groups provided period 1.
In returning to each campus, please find the following recommendations;
- All staff and students are advised to wear masks indoors. This is not mandated, however we strongly encourage it.
- A restriction to non-essential visitors on site. Unfortunately, this means parents as well. We will be returning to Zoom P&C meetings for the time being, no special guests or presenters at assemblies and the cancellation of our Ceremony of Excellence in Week 3. Our NAIDOC week celebrations will go ahead with slight changes.
- At any stage if your child is unwell, please keep them at home.
- We also understand the impact these changes may have on our HSC students. Please know they are our priority and supports are in place to continue with their learning.
