Zone Athletics Winners to Compete at North Coast Championships

Last Thursday 35 students from Hastings Secondary College, Westport Campus travelled to Scott's Head to compete in the Zone Athletics Carnival.

The weather was very chilly, however all the students still put in their personal best running and jumping even faster to keep warm. Throughout the day, we saw 11 students - Zaide Jones, Jarrah Murray, Charlotte Turner, Georgia Hayes, Asha Rootes, Georgia Cordell, Kaal White, Tyler Shaw, Amba Korvemaa, Morgan Jean and Ben Webster, win their events.

Overall, Hastings Secondary College have 15 students who placed first or second in their events and will now be heading to the North Coast Carnival at Kings Cliff. Congratulations!
