We are thrilled to have secured four childcare school-based traineeships during Term 2 and have already received glowing reviews for our candidates' performance in their work settings.
Ella Kemsley, Bree Winn, Chloe Campbell and Nataya Jones have demonstrated dedication, a positive work ethic, and a natural skillset for working with young children. Along with their HSC, they will receive a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care at the end of Year 12. They are gaining firsthand experience in nurturing and educating young minds, setting the foundation for a rewarding career in this essential sector, which has a growing demand for skilled professionals.
These placements are part of our College SBAT (School-Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships) program, demonstrating our commitment to providing additional pathways for our students. SBATs enable students to pursue their desired careers while completing their HSC, integrating practical experience with academic learning. This pathway supports our candidates’ education and prepares them for future success in their chosen career path. Chloe and Bree dedicate one day per week to studying at TAFE and another day working with Hastings Preschool and Long Day Care, and Little Learners Wauchope, respectively, to meet their traineeship requirements. Nataya and Ella complete on-site training and workbooks with ETC, essentially working with Port Macquarie Community Preschool two days per week.
These students were proactive and had liaised with their Career Advisor to initiate work experience placements with these early education facilities to determine if this was the career path they’d like to pursue. This also allowed the business to assess their suitability for a traineeship. Following their work placement, all students were presented with and accepted the traineeship opportunity.
Port Macquarie Community Preschool, Hastings Preschool and Long Day Care, and Little Learners Wauchope: Your support and commitment to nurturing the next generation of childcare professionals is invaluable. This provides Ella, Nataya, Bree and Chloe with the opportunity to start their careers and learn from experienced professionals. We cannot thank you enough for making a difference and look forward to our ongoing partnership.
Congratulation to Ella, Nataya, Bree and Chloe on their successful placement!! Your new Traineeship in Childcare is a highly beneficial and meaningful pathway to success. We look forward to seeing you thrive in this exciting opportunity!
