Dear Parents and Carers
I am privileged to introduce myself as the Relieving Principal of Hastings Secondary College during Ms Meaghan Cook's temporary secondment for the next five weeks. With over twenty years of experience as a principal and a background as a Relieving Director and Principal School Leadership, I understand the importance of our roles and the significant impact we have within our community.
I extend my gratitude to Meaghan, whose exemplary leadership leaves me with big shoes to fill, even if only for a short period. Building on her foundation, I am committed to focusing on well-being, fostering connections and nurturing the supportive atmosphere at Hastings Secondary College.
I believe in the power of open communication and collaboration to further strengthen our school community. By understanding each other's strengths and challenges, we can create a connected and empowered team.
Hastings Secondary College cultivates a positive atmosphere where students are supported to reach their true potential. Our aim is to ensure a nurturing and inclusive environment, where every student feels valued and inspired.
Consistent attendance and active participation in lessons are crucial for our student's academic and personal growth. I am grateful for the support provided by our staff, parents and carers in promoting regular attendance and encouraging our students to attend school every day.
I look forward to meeting many of you and working closely with the college executive and Campus Principals, Mrs Miller and Mrs Noble. Together, we will continue to strive for excellence and celebrate the outstanding individuals who contribute to the success of our wonderful college.
