Aboriginal education
We are committed to engaging our Aboriginal students in learning and working with community, industry, business and educators. We work with two programs - the Clontarf Academy for our Aboriginal boys and Sista Connections for our Aboriginal girls. See our Clontarf Newletters for more details.
Our campuses work in partnership with The Clontarf Foundation. Clontarf helps young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men to attend school, finish Year 12 and enter employment. Full time mentors support the young men through the program. Mentors help to build positive relationships and increase self-esteem and develop life skills.
Our approach has proven to be very successful, not only in attracting young men to school and keeping them there, but also in having them embrace more disciplined, purposeful and healthy lifestyles.
To learn more, visit the Clontarf Foundation website or contact your campus administration office.
Sista Connections is focused on empowering Aboriginal women to be leaders and role models of the future. The program provides academic support, empowerment through entrepreneurism and employment, well-being, and community connections.
The program builds the capacity, employability, mental health, and well-being of our girls, and pathways to senior success. Sista Connections works in partnership with the community.
We pride ourselves on fostering a strong sense of belonging within the school community.
